Search Tips
Even with one simple search box you can target the job you are looking for precisely. Use the tips below to improve your search, or click on Advanced Search to use the filters we supply.
Exact match
If you have a precise job title in mind, put quotes around the phrase to get exactly what you want. E.g. “Telesales team lead” Sligo
Screen out words
Looking for a job anywhere but Dublin?
Screen out Dublin jobs by putting a minus in front of the word
Dublin
Telesales –Dublin
Multilingual but not French?
Multi-lingual –French
Include common words
Our search algorithm ignores common words like “the”, “I” and “and”. If it is really important to you to include these, then put a + in front of the world. E.g. “Accountant Stage +I”
OR Search
Looking for a job in either Dublin OR Belfast, then include an OR between the two search terms. E.g. “Marketing Manager” Dublin OR Belfast
Synonym Search
Sometimes companies have different terms for the same role. We have set up common examples of these using the synonym search feature. If you want to search for your search term and its synonyms put a tilde “~” in front of your words. E.g. ~”Team Manager” will also show jobs titled “Team Leader”.
Advanced Search
With the Advanced Search form you can extend the search power further. For example if there is an agency that you do not want to include in your search you may exclude it here. You can restrict your search to Job Titles only, or extend it to the complete Job Description. Or customize your search terms to include or exclude any terms you like.
